New release:
Sherman Lee Dillon's solo blues CD, "State of The Blues," is now available online here.
Sherman Lee is in Memphis this week (Jan. 20-24) representing Central Mississippi in the International Blues Challenge. You can read more about it here.
On the road again:
We are back on the road again with our "Rolling Roots Revue" in late April and early May. Several dates are already set, but we're still looking to fill out the schedule. If you are aware of (or have influence with) an appropriate venue, please let me know about by replying to this e-mail.
Booked so far: April 22, Calliope House in Pittsburgh; April 23, Honky Tonk House Concerts, Streetsboro, OH; April 29, Steve's Backstage Pass, Taunton, MA; May 3, One Longfellow Square, Portland, ME. Dates in Michigan, Indiana, New Jersey, New York, West Virginia and Connecticut are still in the planning stage.
Coming attractions:
We're in the studio this week with Jim McGrath, working on his new CD, "Brownbagger's Paradise." He is ably accompanied by the very versatile Jim Bennett on guitar, mandolin and banjo. We're shooting for an early March release.
An old friend of the aforementioned McGrath & Bennett, Randy Burns, is joining our family as well. We're in the very preliminary stages of planning, but it will be great to have this solid player in our ranks. Randy will be touring with us this spring, as well.
And work has begun on "Pick a Peck of Piedmont Pickers," with selections from a wide range of modern masters of this delightful style of picking. Details soon, looking for a June release.
Hope to see you on the road soon. We're beginning to lay plans for a West Coast trip, possibly for late Fall.
Thanks for helping us keep the music alive!\
Kindest regards,
Jack
